PaceSetter Catt-Back Exhaust Whatcha Think?
I was shopping for a Catt-Back system and ran into this PaceSetter Catt-Back... Click Here Does anyone know anything about it? The sales team said that they dont have any Dynos of the system installed on our Maximas... So does anyone out there have one or heard anything close to good about them? Thanks

I was told that my Injen made the car sound nice so I just wanted to add to it. I called Pacesetter and they were clueless about the exhaust. They had no dynos and no info, complete silence over the phone. Anyway I heard everyone on this one Pacesetter has And about OBX where did you find yours chuckie311? Is that full catt-back?

I got a pacesetter....it's nice, quiet. I have no rusting issues at all, but the only rusting I have is the yellow part of the tip which I'm gunna get a new tip...for the low price its a nice replacement. The one thing I hate is that when one person says it's bad, everyone else hears it and repeates it. Only listen to people that actually have it. I have it and don't mind it....my .02

I got the Pacesetter myself. I think it sounds great. Not loud and ricey. I heard the stories about rust, but I only need it to last for two years. By that time I should be over 200,000 miles and will be looking to get rid of it.
For $200 shipped it is a great deal. The only problem was that the muffler shop had to cut off about 4 inches to keep the tip from sticking too far out past the bumber.

I think it really depends on where you live...like myself and borqua, I don't think that system could stand up to the beating the NE winters give up here. If you live in "nuetral" weather, this might hold up. Who knows for sure though, if people say that it rusts out without provoking, then it's a piece of ****.

Mandrel Bent is important aswell, is the OBX mandrel bent? Another thing I need is for some pictures of it installed... Does anyone have pics of the pacesetter or OBX installed? And Pearl99GXE, did you say $200 shipped? Where is that deal?

I had a pacesetter on my integra. It was the most hideous thing i have ever heard. Barely made any noise and when it did it was just wistleing. I felt no power gain and also it was pretty ugly looking, it does rust out in a matter of 2 or 3 months and it stinks when it gets heated up because of the gay paint they have on.

I've had it for a year and a month now...has been through every season (I live in CT). I like it just because for a full cat-back, mandrel bent it was a hell of a deal for under 200 shipped. It's nice and quiet, no raspyness and no other problems. The black paint is still present on my exhaust and it will not burn off like most people say...and I think thats also a countermeasure to prevent rust. It's made out of I think 16 gauge aluminized steel...but painted. This is the same material that stock is made from, same metal that the WSP y-pipe group deal is getting. So if all these people think that the pacesetter is bad and it rusts, then shouldn't everyone be saying that every exhaust made from aluminized steel is bad???? To the comment on "eventually it will rust".....well obviously it will rust sometime, just like every other exhaust out there (BTW, stainless steel exhausts still rust also, but much much slower because of purity issues). The only drawback I see is, like I said, the exhaust tip. The inside yellow part gets rusted and looks ugly, but I'd just get a different tip for like $5.
