Hello everyone,

my 98 max SE 5sp (51,000 m) has a strange problem. Engine seems to kick or cut out for very brief periods, as if it was misfiring. This is most noticable in 1st gear when the car will jerk. When this happens, and I disengage the clutch, I can see the idle rpms going up and down until the engine stalls. Dealer was no help, since there was no ECU code.

Any ideas?

This sounds like a problem i had, it turned out to me my Mass Air Flow sensor then a couple weeks later my knock sensor went out...so im not sure witch one it was but it was from one of them.
