i have a 99 bose headunit connected to my 95 ... no rewiring was need as it just plugs into old harness....BUT i cant see what im pressing in the dark cause the backlight or what ever it is that lights up the buttons is not working ... has anyone here had this problem and was able to fix it .....the unit works perfectly well is just that lil problem

 

just a shot in the dark-try the dimmer button on the dash-but the problem may be in the unit
