O2 sensor replaced three times within 1,500 miles??
I have a 96 with 149,xxx and I replaced my O2 sensor about 1,500 miles ago. About three weeks ago my check engine light came on and when reading it, it informed me that there was a fault in the heater circuit with the front O2 sensor, the one I just replaced about 1,000 miles before, so I had a new part installed for free since the last one was still under the 90 day warranty. Yesterday my check engine light came on so I pulled into autozone and had them see what was up. Turns out the same code came up... I explained what I had done about 500 miles ago and one of the guys said it might possibly be a fault in one of the wires leading to or from the O2 sensor. Does anyone know of any specific areas that I could have my mechanic check? Within about 5,000 miles my cars' check engine light as come on 4 times! Hopefully there is an end to it!

dude....I had this happen...there is a fuse for the oxygen sensors...believe it or not...is in the fuse box on the inside of the car, you know, the one by the steering wheel....this is a known problem on maxima's....well....atleast it's in the nissan "assist" program! just replace the fuse...I believe it is a 10amp...there should already be a spare in there...just check the fuse map on the back of the fuse cover
