racing gas?

racing gas?

ok i know this might be a stupid question and has prolly been asked many of a time but is there any real bennifit to using racing gas at the track? does anyone have any experiance with it or should i just stay away from it? its 110 octane btw, i just dont know anything about racing gas so somone fill me in -ryan

Higher octane means less chance of predetonation. You want to use it when running nitrous or other FI. Or if you've modified your engine to have a higher compression ratio.

hmm ok so its not for regular n/a cars then i dont want to use it im just wondering why some stupid honda guys use it like they need it or somthing? are they that stupid?

If you don't know what mods they are running then you can't make that call.

I use a couple of gallons of 104 when I go to the track. My JWT ECU seems to like it. But for the run of the mill modified maxima it will do no good.
