Clock Troubles
Clock Troubles
The clock in my 1997 gle has been acting a bit screwy. Every once and a while the light in it turns off, and even when it is lit up it keeps switching its self back to "1:00". Has anyone had similar problems?? Do i need a new clock or just to connect a wire better? My clock stays bright when the lights are on or off. So that leads be to believe that the owner before me did this modification. That mod consists of cutting a wire behind the clock. Could that be the cause?
I had a similar problem with my clock. During the first few minutes of driving one day, the clock was fine. It was displaying the correct time and all. An hour or so later of driving, I looked at it and noticed that it must have reset itself because there was a good 6 hours difference. I set the clock and have had no problems since then.
I’m not sure of what could have caused this though….

I had the same problem and then my clock completely died. Its a somewhat common problem. Theres a method to fix it but its probably just easier to try and buy one used off ebay or in the parts for sale section of this forum. It really doesn't bother me that much so I haven't fixed it yet.
