Exhaust - Pacesetter

Just purchased a '98 MAX SE (all options) this weekend which needs an exhaust. Does anyone have experience with the Pacesetter catback? I realize there are much better systems available but $ is the factor.
Also the Stone Mountain Racing header / y pipe setup. Not sure what condition the headers are in but are "big gains" to be had with the SMR header? I've read that the SMR Y pipe is the best bang for the buck!
Thanks in advance for any input!

--Pace setter exhaust is known for rusting out quickly, and stone racing is not know for quality
