Shift Solenoid valve prices
Shift Solenoid valve prices
i got two errors, a 1st gear malfunction and a torque converter malfunction...i think that the shift solenoids and valves could be to blame....the car shifts hard sometimes, and other times it shifts at really high rpm's(hunting for gears)....
How much would it cost to replace the solenoid valves and solenoids?
Would this solve my shifting problem?
If not, what would??
any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'm not sure about the codes your tranny is throwing , but I've had code 1205 which is line pressure solenoid - i replaced them myself and that didn't solve the problem(hard shifts from 1st to 2nd , thump when engaging gears and flashing Over-drive light)
It turned out later that it was bad dropping resistor a mere $60 part.
If you decide to replace the solenoids buy them from you local dealer - but make sure the he sells you the " new and upgraded set of solenoids " Nissan had TSB on them.
the price should be $140 plus tax. Don't let him sell you regular set of solenoids for about $480 !!!! They have two different part numbers.
For now start with basic stuff: check the fluid, check the dropping resistor, pull the codes again - to make sure you got them right.
BTW - replacing the solenoids is really easy , just need to follow directions , and not overtorque tranny oil pan bolts.

Just to ask if to change or not? I would replace it.
