hid headlights
xenon is a good kit. www.hidforums.com all the information you need to know
Look into retrofitting projectors in the headlight housing , the stock 9004 housing scatters the HID light and blinds oncoming traffic, it attracts unwanted attention from cops too.
Every retrofit project is different, so a how-to isn't necessarily going to help you. Go to hidforums.com like suggested before, and see if they got there server back up (was hacked and the system was corrupted). You can find projectors on ebay for a relatively good price as compared to a Phillips HID kit (a good 9004 Phillips kit runs 450 and up). With projectors, you'll get the nice beam pattern, and also the props for doing it yourself. Look for a 4100K-5000K kit for best light output. All a higher kelvin kit will do is make the light turn blue-purple and there will be less light output (lumens). Look for a set of projectors on ebay from, say a e55 Benz. make sure it comes with the ballasts and everything.
i just posted this earlier, but try this, get some BI-XENON (keep hi-beams)projectors of an Audi A6 (1990) and then get some ballasts and bulbs from hella, then, if you want, get some lighted optic rings to go around em. This is a very nice set up for HIDS, geo has them.
If you are in the market for any kind of HID set up get projectors with them PLEASEEEE. I had a pair of 6000k McCulloughs and they were horrible on the light output. I felt sorry for the drivers that I blinded everytime I would go down the road with these things. Since then I have took them out and now running good ol' bulbs that came with the car.
