here is the picture of the haynes manual page about the egr valve. Aren't mods supposed to set good examples for everyone else??

driver side next to the back corner of the intake manifold...unlucky for you it is a 95 like mine and is in an awkward spot...should be at least a little shiny and a copper color with 2 vacume lines going to it

Did you get the ecu code: egr hi/lo flow?

To remove the egr valve you need to remove the air intake duct. Then you need to detach the vacuum line that runs tothe egr valve. Next, you loosen and remove the nut the holds the valve and remove the two fasteners.

thanks for all your help bearded. I broke down and just got back from buying the haynes manual. the code i am getting is 0306 EGRC BPT valve. wish me luck.
crap, even with the manual it is like a freakin jungle in there. i finally figured out the egr valve is right there and the egr valve transducer is right above it. i cannot see any way to take either of these off and to top it off there is no room to work with. any suggestions?
i ended up taking off the whole intake manifold off, cleaning it thoroughly and cleaning the EGR tube leading to the manifold. (the one thats bolted onto it with 2 bolts) it was full of Carbon buildup and i sprayed some TB cleaner in there...
I reset my ECU, and i havent popped up with the code yet.
I might have to take my manifold off again tomaorw, so i will try to take pics for you guys.. MAYBE...
