that price is too high. try and work them down. there are lots of mods for the 4th gen. search around the faq's.

you are going to love the fourth gen. i myself am a former 3rg gen owner (89 se) and the difference is amazing. every aspect about the 4th gen is better than the 3rd gen. the most obvious being the power (well at least going from the VG to the VQ was a huge difference). and other things like comfort, handling (somewhat) and just the overall feel is great. good luck.

Act like you don't know anything about cars and treat it as if you are buying a ford or a Kia. Don't let him know that you are crazy about the car.

Seriously 10G for a 98 (6 year old ) is a bit much. A nice range should be around 6G to 7.5G. 2000 Maxima should be around 10G, not 98's. Maxima resale value sucks.

Are you forgetting it only has 70k miles? I paid 7250 for a 96 GLE w/everything (74k).. but it was in pristine condition and from a dealer. These are very reliable and stickered at nearly 30k when they came out.....depending on where you live you are not going to find a much better deal then like 8.5k for that car unless the person is stupid... good luck. These things are in pertty high demand by young drivers and by parents that want a nice, safe and attractive car for their kids. The dealer said they could easily sell 30 of the cars like mine a month (and that is AFTER i bought it, not before)

i found it on a local database like autotrader.com. its on carsoup.com in the st.paul mn area. Its from ab dealer and i went and looked at it and drove it. I love the 4th gen and the manual is what i need. That was a fun ride but i acted like i didn't want it. he wanted to get papers signed but i told him i had others to look at. i will go back in 3 days and see what i can work out.
