congrats on the new wheels, they should look really nice. plus since you already have a nice drop theres no need to worry about the dreded 4x4 look. also props to you for being original and not going with the standard evos. so what made you get these Enkei's over any other wheel?

Oh yeah, I ordered some rims and tires off eBay. I only have gotten 2 of them, the other pair is lost. Screw UPS, but for only messing up my item order, otherwise, they're a good parcel service I guess.

Congrats on the wheels. Must post pics though. Im sure they will look really nice. I say keep the stock wheels and use them for the winter cause the clear coat and the winter/salt do not like each other.

isint 225/45/17 a smaller diameter than spec? I believe 235/45/17 is a near exact match to stock size, theres just the issue of running a 235 tire on a 7in. wide wheel, which some people say will cause problems, but Ive been running it for a long time with no problems along with many others on this board.

Thanks everyone for the comments...well, except bijan.. heh.. the total price was 951.00 shipped from whalen tire to my door.. I saw the wheels in person at Nopi at the kauffman tire vendor display, and they look great... I may change tires at some point, but for now I will stick with what I got seeing as my roommate has the exact same tires on his ADR 17"s and they have no problems... My car is almost always out here at UWG, I rarely go back home to Newnan... pics will be up as soon as I get the wheels installed.. or I may just wait until I get all my new toys installed.... fiber images CF hood, enkei wheels, and McCullough 6000K HIDs

I don't think you can run a 235 tire on a skinnyass rim like that.

Stock size on the OEM 5th gen 17x7 wheels is 225/50/17, and there are many guys that run 235/45/17 so you should be fine at 225/45/17.
Wheels look great. Good choice

I'm running 235/45/ on my 17x7's with no problem. Many people have done it. Its the correct size to match up to OEM.

That is the biggest size you can go and its actually better if your somewhere with alot of potholes. The extra width helps to protect your rim from jumping the tire and getting bent... didnt save me hitting a pothole at 60mph but other than that its the only real benefit. Wider doesnt always mean stickier.
