yeah, bose is wierd, here...

"In the Bose system, you should not run the Bose speakers off of a aftermarket headunit because the impedence of the speakers are far too low and cause problems. Also, your new headunit/amp will not have the active equalization the Bose had, so it will not sound accurate either. You cannot interface an aftermarket headunit with the Bose's amplifiers either, unless you get something like a SoundGate adapter.

But as for replacing the headunit, its a Double DIN headunit. Any headunit that fits the ISO DIN can fit. You can also fit an ISO DIN headunit in the fold down pocket space. To make the antenna connection, you must by a "nissan diversity adapter". I got mine from Circuit City for about $10. I do not know if an aftermarket harness adapter is available, but I chose not to use one. You will have to run new wires for the speakers anyway. So you will only have to tap the constant 12 volt, switched 12 volt, power antenna trigger, illumination and find a ground (I will post wire colors as soon as I find them).

Welcome to the opg Cassie.
Some of the best kinds of decks around (i've played with many different kinds until i found ones i like) Alpine, Pioneer Premier, Clarion, Kenwood.

I wouldnt worry to much about your bose speakers with a new deck right away. I've had mine on my pioneer premier deck for quite some time and they work fine.

The Faq's section and the mod's section are like the maxima bible. Even if you cant find it and you ask a question people will help, or tear you up.
How many miles on your maxy?
I got a 97 5spd with 60k about 3 months ago. (sage mist green mmmmm)

Enjoy your maxy and have fun here on the org.

I read a post like a week or two ago, someone was asking which was better, and it seemed like more people liked sirius, even though it was really close. Plus eminem or shady records is getting their own channel on sirius..and im a fan.

How pathetic is this place? There are at least 5 threads like this a day and none of them ever get more than 10 replies. Once in a while a female joins and i becomes a free-for-all.

Is kind of funny to see that much posting already. So who's going to pop the question and ask her to the Max Meets in CA. If she's planning to attend, I bet there will be a Max showdown. :-)

Guys with Maxima seeing a girl with a Max is a dream come true. A love of a car and a love of your life = priceless.

"I recently save a bunch of money by not going out on friday night!"

Welcome, I think you will recieve alot attention for days to come.

As a matter of fact, I went to my first meet on Friday And thank you for the welcome.

And to everyone else that keeps calling it pathetic and all that, it may be, BUT you are only adding to the length of the thread with your replies also But thank you for the welcome.

no it is not that we are horney guys...it is just cool so see someone different on the org. Alot fo new people make these threads and they are responded to, but never at 3 pages. It is just cool so see someone different, someone that is not useually on the org. I'm not asking her for anything. just said what's up to someone diffeent.

and as said up above clarion is awsome. i had a clarion adz-625 double din in my car for about a year and a half before i switched and it was simple to use and worked great.
