1995 Nissan Maxima difficulty starting
Max won't immediately Start up
This is seriously becoming a headache. I just got the car back last Friday from the mechanic to fix the rattling noise. (It happened to be the Radiator Fan Assembly, fixed and all better now). About a month ago I had problems with the car starting but it was pretty infrequently. I'd turn the key and nothing, so I jiggled the steering wheel, turned it hard from one side to the other, turned the key and it started. Now everytime I turn the car off and go to turn it back on it won't start. I've tried turning the steering wheel nothing. Turning the steering wheel to the locked position and then turning the key to unlock it and start that way worked for a brief while. Turning the key to the on position and leaving it there for a few minutes is working a little bit. It starts but not everytime. Last night none of the above things worked and I was worried I would be stuck. I put the car in neutral and it started. What is going on with my car???!!! The radio, lights, AC everything comes on strong but it just doesn't start like it should. A friend of mine who has auto mechanical experience, believes its a faulty Anti-theft system. I really need help with this. My car is my only means of transportation, I need it for work (which is about 25 min from where I live). Please help!
