Clutch problem, need help.

After driving in stop & go traffic for an hour and a half I got up to speed and went to shift into 5th gear. I had a problem; when I pressed the clutch down the pedal went to the floor and stuck. I had to pull the pedal back up with my foot. I checked the clutch fluid and it was gone. I didn't see any visible signs of a leak and hadn't had any problems in the past with the fluid getting low. I replaced the fluid and tried bleeding the clutch, but the clutch didn't work after words. I seemed to only engage at the very bottom of the pedal stroke, but wouldn't allow me to get into any gears. Any Ideas on the problem? Could it be a slave or master cylinder gone bad? Please help!

Yeah, same problem with me, except the bleeding worked, and two months later it was just about to happen again, and I took it in and there wa sa leak in the master cylinder.

same problem

i had a leak in one of the hoses. a pretty good leak. I'd have someone step on the clutch and I'd watch fluid shoot out from near the slave cylinder. If you pushed in really fast you could change gears before the pressure dropped. Same hose that Terran has a link to.
Nissan sent me a clutch piping diagram if you need part numbers or anything.

Thanks for your help, I figured that there must be a leak in the line if the fluid was empty. I will look to see if I can find the leak this weekend. How would I know if I have a leak inside my master or slave cylinder? Could this problem be related to something outside of the hydraulic system?
