water guards on a 4th gen?

How do you think those water guards look? You no the ones over the windows so you can open them without water getting in. Would you think of getting them, do you think they are ugly?

I have thought about getting them but I dunno how it would look on my black max? What you guys think?

Thanks..

Get the ones without the tape (the ones that go into your window channel) from WeatherTech (http://www.weathertech.com/store/pro...tem_group_id=4)

probably so you dotn have to worry about adhesive or fading of the paint behind it if you ever decide to remove them, also they have a more "streamlined" look.

I’m going to go against the majority here (as always) and say that I like the vent shades. I have them on my 97 max, and I think they blend in perfect with the tinted windows (when the windows are rolled up.)

I have a pic with the windows down, but I think it still looks good. I can leave the windows partially open without having to worry about the rain.

Side Note: My car would look GREAT with clear corners, feel free to send donations to...

Dont get me wrong, i think they do a great job, and all of my cars had them. I just like it better without them now. Still think its worth every penny.

the ones from weathertech blend in well, and they come smoked or almost clear. if you break or loose one you can buy just the one you need, not a whole new set. have had them for a couple of years. just had to replace one-$20.+s/h. works for me.

I don't like the VentVisor brand. They adhear to the car with tape. I have The Weathertech brand on my Black Max and they look great. Weathertech are more flush to the car and mount in the window track. They are a little more but well worth it.

The VentVisor brand does use 3M Adhesive tape, but it adhears to the door seal. So there isn't really a worry with messing up the paint.

I haven't had any problems with mine yet...

Think of it this way, Lip kit for your windows. lol. I got ventshades and the sunroof visor, great combo. When you got your windows halfway down and leveled with the ventshades, thats just pimp status, looks soooo hot. especially dark color cars.

Yeah, but you'd gain like 10 hp if you had them.

I heard it also creates a zero lift areo setup like the 350Z track model, so you might wanna consider it...

I wish...

I had them on my truck before the maxima and they were very loud (lots of wind noise). especially if your traveling for several hours down the highway at 80mph.

I personally would not put them on my car, but that is me. If you like them or want to get them for functionality, go ahead. In the end the only person that has to be happy with them on your car is you.

As as example, a lot of people here would not go with the tint choice that I went with, 13% in the back, 50% in the front. I wanted to go pretty dark in the back for my kids, pretty hot and sunny here in San Diego. I would have preferred a more balanced look, but did not want to deal with a possible ticket. So in the end I went with what worked for my situation. So eventhough many people might find the tint on my car undesireable, I am very happy with it .

I don't think they look good.
I think they mess with the lines of the car.
IMO.

1) I like the way it looks
2) It's pratical...it ****es me off when it rains open the window a bit, stop and all that damn rain from the night before enters your damn car

Unfortunately, after I got the kit put on the guy took them off to repaint the whole car and they never stayed on...gotta get me another set
