OK, well i bypassed it because most cars do not have a temp sensor in the TB for the coolant line that passes thru it..

Most cars just have this so that the car has an easier time warming up in bellow freezing temperatures.. SO, i bypassed it so that there would be less heat being projected into the manifold thru the TB. COOLER AIR = MORE HP right?!

Well, i came to realize that my car on the freeway at night would freek out in idle... i would drive at a constant rate at high speeds 50 or above, (in about 60-70 degree) weather, thats cold enough to trick the sensor. The cold air would I GUESS run in the engine bay and go into the empty coolant routes in the TB, and this would make the ECU think that the car was cold. So whenever i would come to a stop after i would get off the freeway the car would be idleing at about 1100 RPMS in drive and about 1500-1700 RPMS in park. THIS is the idle numbers the ECU goes into durring a COLD start early in the morning. So the sensor THINKING the car was cold would trick my ECU into going into the COLD start procedure.

This was a really anoying MINOR problem that only happend at night (cold) and only happened about once or twice a night. sometimes it wouldnt even hapen at all. All along i thought it was a vacum leak. BUT i havent tried re routing this line back to stock, so it might not be the problem.

But please I still need this diagram, i think i have figured it out, but the pics would still be of great help, thanks.

There are not 3 coolant lines, there are two. Goes in ones side and out the other. In between there is a smaller port which I believe is EGR related. The coolant ones are larger and have bends in them. The middle one is small and straight.

yea but where do they connect? the third one that is?

THere are two one on the far left of the TB and one on the far right. and then the one in the middle....

There is another on farther back towards/close to the firewall...

I connect the one on the far right of the TB to the one by the firewall...and the one on the middle to the coolant line from the radiator closest to the driver fender. the one on the far left of the TB i connect to the coolant line closest to the passenger side fender, keep in mind that this is right next to the other one i just mentioned...the connection from the radiator that is...

You are making this way more complicated than it is.

Ok, so you have two coolant lines right under the TB right?...one on the left and one on the right.

All you do is connect those hoses together. It's like a 2 minute job. One hose has the coolant going into the TB and one has it comming out of the TB. So all you do is connect them...hence "bypassing" the TB.

Just use a double sided hollow brass barb on connect the two lines together. You should not have to extend the line, they should be long enough to just connect together.

The smaller "nipple" on the bottom of the TB between the two coolant llines is not coolant related. It is a vaccum source for the EGR system and you don't touch that at all.

Are there benifits of bypassing this coolant line to the throttle body ??

It just keeps the hot coolant away from the intake path. I don't really see any reason why it would make a noticeable difference.

Ok...

So, in the 3rd picture, where there are the 3 circles...only the 2 (left and right) need to be pluged in to the coolant source?

what about the connection (with no hose) in the center? that is left alone?

I can't make your pics real well, but that middle connection I don't know about..that is not the middle one I was refering to. The middle one you have circled is not part of the TB though. The middle one I am refering to is part of the actual TB, just like the coolant ones are.

Was that middle one you had circled connected to anything? Just leave that one be.

There is 3 connections on the TB...2 are coolant and one is Vaccum source for the high idle...the vaccum is right on the bottom and the 2 coolant lines are threw both sides..

r u sure?

They are all routing together..

the Middle one is the end of the circulation thru the TB.. thats what i have seen on other peoples maxes.. the one on the right of the TB goes to the back.. and it loops thru and back out to the coolant line in the middle..
the one on the left is where it starts...
