E.S. control arm bushings help
anyone change these on their car? if so any problems with fitment? how did you remove the big bushing at the end of the control arm? i can not get it off. also, the opening for the other bushing is too small. i can not get the bolt throught it. any ideas on whats going on with this? thanks in advance.
The stock bushings have a metal sleeve that often fuses to the control arm articulations. It may be necessary to carefully apply a cutting wheel to the metal sleeves and then pry them off. The front bushings especially may come off and leave the metal sleeve which may look like it is part of the control arm--you need to get that off.

To get the big one off the end, I hooked the control arm over the work bench and knocked the bushing off the end with a hammer.
If it comes down to it, you can cut it off with a hacksaw or something.
