Best ECU for the price?

I'm looking at the JET upgrade offered at Custommaxima.com, is it any good? What about that control module too, would that be safe for my car? Are there any other ECU's available for a good price with good performance output?

Technosquare and Jim Wolf Technology are the only ECU upgrades that are available for our cars. The general concesus around here is to stay away from the JET product. JWT's are made for 95 and 96 ECU's (I believe they are almost $600 dollars, this is to get the upgrade on your ECU). People here use these ECU's on 97's but they get a check engine light. I can't remember for Technosquare, but I imagine it is the same. Check the faqs to get all the info, I just mainly wanted to tell you to stay away from the JET.

Like said before the JWT is $600 but you can extend your rev limit. The Technosquare is about $400 I believe but you can't get you rev limit extended. So if you have a MEVI the better way to go would be JWT or wait until Technosquare figures out how to extend the limit. If no MEVI then go with Technosquare.

Okay, thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll start saving my money soon, after the full cat-less exhaust.
