Sick of tan interior...

do you guys think it's possible to change everything in the interior.. full swap including teh full dash and door panels to have black on black? If so how much you think that would cost? Parts and labor?

Join my club. I'll never buy another car with a tan interior IMHO. Anyway .. completely possible. Max4Speed is kind of the resident expert on this. He has advised me in the past that it would cost about $900 to get every interior part you would need to do the swap to black. Unfortunately, you then have to pay someone to install, or take on that laborious task yourself.

Good news is that many of your tan parts you would be able to sell here or on eBay.

I did a full interior swap with a friend in his 3rd gen. Of course he had both cars. This ment he didnt have to pay for the parts or labor. It took about 8 hours to strip both cars and fully complete one car. The dash is really not that bad.

I recently took apart my whole car, excluding the dash. The hardest thing was getting the headliner out. Its huge! You have to bend it to get it out a (rear) door.

In the long run its worth it tho, but I cant imagine gettin all the parts....that would take some effort in itself.......unless you get a whole car.

tan interior looks so clean to me - if you keep it that way of course. If you have one piece of paper lying on the seat it looks like ****. Also it's my experience that tan holds up better. Black and gray always get cracks and it looks like **** because the cracks are white or gray.... with tan they arent as noticible (of course it won't get cracks if you condition the leather enough).

I want to change my cloth seats to leather ones
I hate cloth, looks cheap. The car also has cloth in the door panels which suck too. I wonder if anyone has done this and how much it costs? I would go with grey I think. Maybe even 2-tone, change all the cloth things to black and leave grey pieces grey ofc, dunno how it would look tho.

Heres a pic of my interior :

Edit: The interior is SOO DIRTY in that pic, pic was taken just after the last winter.

euromax, can you post a picture of your centrepiece? I'm wondering if it's also the same as I have in my E-spec, it's different from the US-spec I think, I have 2 single DIN spares in it with 3 places for buttons / lights beneath it... wondering if you have it the same.

Totally possible. I'm doing the same thing (leather door inserts come with the package too) and for me, two tone seat "inserts" (as they call it) with embroidery in the front seats (saying 'SE'), installation kit and shift boot was $685 shipped from Leatherseats.com. See the GD forum for the current Group Deal.

I'll be installing it myself and will be posting pics in the 4th Gen forum once all work is done. Keep your eyes peeled for pics on Sunday/Monday (really hoping to do my seats this weekend ... leather actually gets here on Thursday).
