topic of windows

While you guys are discussing windows, I hope you don't mind my butting in with an additional question about windows. I noticed and have read that if you spray silicon lubricant on the window tracks, this will help make it go up/down faster. In the past experiences of using the "gunk" brand, it only seems to have made it go down slower...I was wondering if there is any specific brand I should look for or specific type of silicon lubricant?
any experiences with any brands/stores would be greatly appreciated. I am doing a massive spring cleaning and thought I give it a lube.

thanks

I wish I could help, but I've never done this repair. I looked in the factory service manual and they don't answer your question. When I work on a door window I prefer to have the window down if possible. If it is already down there is no risk that it will fall on its own, and break.

thanks for your help, but i found that you have to remove the bar for the handle, then unscrew the bar that is connected to the window, and you should have some room to play with the motor and wheel.
