how much do coil packs cost? what does infinit resitance read?

Hey guys...

I was measruing my coil packs and i'm getting different resitance values for each coil pack?!?!?!

how do i know when they might be completely dead? when they have a high resitance value?

I'm assuming infinite resistence means that i should see a zero value on my multimeter when i read the coil packs values?

Thanks guys!!

infinite resistance is 1. if your getting like 1000 + or - then its not functioning properly.

they cost $55 from www.jrnissan.com use "Maxima" promo code to get 25% off.

ah ok... cool... yeah one pack gave me 450ohm when reading pin 1 and 2...
another gave me 85.8...

i assuming the coil is more dead the more the resistence value goes up?

could really tell you. if you get a resistance other than 1, then you should replace it. your car will hesitate over time, and after that happen's then i believe your fuel injectors may go as well. since your replacing your coil, you might as well order some NGK copper Spark plugs. and replace them as well.

Coolies! Thanks a mill

I kept wondering what an infinite resistance would look like... hehe

But yeah, hopefully this will fix my idle problem... ( rough idle, sometimes stalls randomly... other times the car is strong as hell in the low end...)
