Car doesnt go over 2,000 rpms

The other day I started my car no check engine light came on. And as I started to drive of my car wouldnt go over 2,000 rpms. It just studders and goes back down to 1900 and back to 2,000. Anyone have this problem with their car ? Any suggestions would help.

Thanks in advance.

MAFS plug as well. unplug it, plug it back in, and make sure it is seated well. if still happening, then make sure all the wires to the plug are in good condition. also may want to consider looking into a new MAFS. good luck.

Check the MAF wires because that happened to me. Check them before you go spending all that money

This happened to me.. It maybe if you recently took apart your air box, it is possible that everything isnt connected. I took my air box apart one night and then came back and this happened. When I hooked it all back up there was a connection that wasnt on properly, putting it all back together the right way fixed it up.

So I guess you're only supposed to use rubbing alcohol to clean the MAF wires, you pour if over the wiring, do not touch the wiring with anything either...This is just what I read though. http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/517

TB cleaner on the MAF sensor is like you taking a bath in tub full of ammonia (my nose is burning, wait, my eyes too, I can't feel my lips, my skin feels... AHHHHHHH!!!!!) LOL. What exactly did you clean on the MAFS? the actual hot wire that's in the center, or the connection on the side for the harness?
