I have been having a problem with power going out every now and then during start up, if I mess around with the keyless entry and lock it usually gets going again. I have not seen the low battery light click on and wen the power does go out it just all shuts off weras when my batter was low one day some of the lights would still work. It happened a couple times after installing the CAI but was fine afterwords until the accident I got into a couple weeks ago, now the power shuts off at least every other day. It is more of an inconveniance rather than a worry from what I can see right now. My batter is connected and everything, like I said, it just takes a little while of messing with the keyless entry system for the power to click back on, im just wondering if this may be the beggining of a problem or if anyone else has had to deal with this? Thanks.

 

that isnt a low battery light b.t.w. if that light comes on you need an alternator..which in the max..well...

 

same thing happened to me tonight, definitely the altenator which sucks, I've had more problems with this car, I'm going to look 3 series' tomorrow

 

if its your alternator i would definitely get that switched that out immediately, and throw an optima red top under that bish

 

Optima red top all the way...I had one in my Eclipse GSX and it never failed me. Had the same battery for 6 yrs. I'm DYING for my Interstate battery to die in my Max SE so I can switch it to a red top but it's still strong. Clean your battery terminals. Do you remember when it was replaced last? Pick up a Hayne's manual. Best of luck!
