New Springs/Stock shocks Info Please!

For any of you who have taken the unpopular idea of upgrading springs with out doing the same for your shocks, about how long were the shocks able to hold out until they started to give your car a bad ride.

Also, does it depend on how far the car is lowered (Im thinking it does) Im thinking going either H&R or Progress springs from what i read on Maxmods. No cash to get teh shocks just yet. From what I've read around here you guys know what you are talkin about so let me hear what you have to see. Thanx

I wouldn't do progress springs, maybe maxspeed or h and r. Eibach are too stiff for stock shocks.

oh really?? Im interested in H&R because of people i have met who were really happy with them, Progress got my attention because the drop is a lil lower than h&r. But i can deal with that.

How about shocks, know anything about how long they go without being upgraded while the springs have been?

depends on how you low. I said maxspeed because it is only like 1.2 inch drop and the h and r I think ar elike 1.4 inches. The progress are even lower and you can expect 10k life outta your stock shocks.

Is there a reason why you wouldb't go with progress springs?? Is it just your style or a technical side about it?

I've got Sprints on mine. I dropped the car the 2nd day I had it......that was in March of this year. Stock struts have lasted me because I treat it well. I dont do stupid things that would MAKE struts blow.

Maximas have shocks?? WTF?!

I have H&R with GR2's, handling is WAY better and ride quality is a little stiffer but still very comfortable - car looks finished, not slammed.
