Is it rediculously ricey or is it really all right? Can anyone think of a way to do it without drilling into the bumper. Some kind of silicone that can be peeled away from the clearcoat but stick enough to hold the thing on?

i just did it today. i didnt use double sided tape becuase it was falling down before i could even get the other side up. But luckly i got the 4in self adhearing strip. so what i did was cut off bout 3/4in to get to the sticky part and just put that one the car which seemed to stick ok but i wasnt too confident in it so i put ductape on the underside of the car/back side of the strip(90degree). Then it seemed it was kind of wobley so since i had extra of the stipping i took like 2x2" pieces of jus the sticky part and bent that at a 90 degree and put it under ther every few inches and it really seemed to do the job. this also helped out with making it a little more sturdy. Just what i did, hope this helps.

Use 3m exterior mounting tape and you will have no problems. Them get something to reinforce the lip, i suggest a 1" strip of metal taped to the back of the lip, the whole way across, again with 3m exterior mounting tape. NO SCREWS

actually i'd rather have altezzas (and I would NEVER want altezzas) then a vinyl lip made from wall/floor sealant at a high school or in a gym.It looks like something someone found in a dumpster and threw it on a Civic, then, the trash-lip got ripped off (like Ludacris') of that Civic and a kid drove by it on the highway, picked it up and slapped it on his Maxima, not realizing if he saves $150 he can get a stillen lip shipped to his door.

Sorry for sh!ttin' on the Ludalip, but it really does look trashy.Save about 1 day's pay and you can get a stillen lip which looks 1,000x better.

speaking of stillen lips, where the hell can i find one for a 96, there are damn near impossible to find for the 95-96 for a decent price....i think 200 is wayyyy too much for lip (in general)....

for your information, i have had the stillen lip and yes, it does look real nice. but lets just say you had no idea that it was made from a floor wall base, you wouldn't think it looked bad at all. even if a company actually made that lip actually made to fit, same style but made out of urathane, you wouldn't complain that it was trashy.
there are always haters on every forum.

sorry dude but not everyone wants to waste money on a 9 year old car, if you can get a good deal on a lip, fine, but for $5 who really cares. to each his own....period. the ludalip by comparison is WAY more subtle than altezzas.

even if a company made that, its too flat and boring.i wouldnt buy it.but youre right,to each his own, which is why i voiced my opinion, then said i was sorry.and yes i would MUCH rather have altezzas then that lip.and if "not everyone wants to spend the money on a 9 yr old car" get a new one.

btw...theres i think 3 long pieces of that vinyl stuff in the dumpster at my old high school, forget wastin the $5 on a 9 yr old car,i can get a full bodykit for you for free!...stick with stillen, you wont be disappointed.

im not looking to argue, but why would i buy a new car if im not willing to spend much more on an older one? i dont know if the ludalip is that noticeable, maybe it is, i havnet seen it in person yet so i guess i cant comment. maybe yoru right it might look cheap, but if that $5 make shim feel good, i guess thats good for him, saved himself from spending 150$. ill hav eto check out the ludalip sometime.

it may be flat and boring to you, but once that ludalip was designed the thread became almost 8 pages long on "how did you do it" and "where did you get it" questions. For the average guy who wants to add a little flavor to an all stock maxima, or doesnt have the necessary funds for a stillen kit, would be satisfactory IMO.

yeah, i have the money to get the stillen lip anyday. i've had it before, but the ludalip is honestly not bad looking at all. all my friends got tripped out about the idea of me putting them on my car, but once they saw it in person, they laughed even more because it actually looked really good. if you havent seen it in person, i would suggest not commenting on it. and besides, the author of this thread wanted to know how to do it, he did not ask if it was nice or not.

Jeez I didnt think a piece of plastic could get this much emotion out of someone. If you think altezzas are better for the Maxima's design than a subtle looking lip you really have no idea what you're talking about.

I tried it bc i saw some 240s and rx7s at my school with that lip on their car and wondered how itd look on a maxima. I thought it looked nice and everyone who saw it in person thought so too. No harm done.

I have to agree and say that the Ludalip is just plain ugly. You are way better off saving up a little and buying the Stillen Lip (or kit) which is the best for the Max. Or you can just buy the used one I'm selling, repaint it, and save even more.

Damn that was a hell of a hit. I was in a head on collision and the only thing that came out without a scratch was my Stillen Kit and the Trendz Grill. All my lights were smashed as well as my entire bumper and some of the hood. Luckily the radiador or motor was not touched. The Max is very durable. After the accident my car was towed and my front end was smashed...the only distinguishable thing was the Lip which was in perfect condition.

No harm done besides the holes in the bumper. If I could get it to stay on for a week without screws I might try it to see if it works with the car.
