I bought this Valeo clutch a little while ago.. does anyone know if that is close to OEM?

I supposedly got a good deal on it.

Thanks,
Dan

I just purchased the Stock Nissan clutch from courtesy nissan for my 95 maxima. NOt the key value one... the real nissan one (nissan box and everything). on the center of the clutch it has two labels. one is a nissan one is a valeo. it seems to me like valeo is the maker of the nissan stock clutch. I hope this helps, i think you basically have to the Nissan clutch maybe without the nissan logo

Did you get a discount from Courtesyparts.Com? I thought there was some sort of "Maxima" promotional code or something, thats why I am asking.

I was going to get a quote on a clutch from CourtesyNissan before I check our parts dealer...

Cool, now at least I know I don't have a cheap knock off. It was a reputable parts store who sold it, so I'm not surprised.

What year Max do you have to get those prices? I just priced stuff for a 1997 Max from CourtesyParts and it was (in the order you listed) 64.68, 92.02, 7.95, 27.83 and that was just listed on there site, without the discount.

i ordered the parts for a 95. i did notice that the part costs were more when you call than on the website. when i bought the oil filters they were more even after the 15% discount than on the site. the guy gave me the price on the site after i let him know its cheaper on the internet. i dunno if the discount applies to online orders or not, i guess buying online is probably cheaper but not too significantly unless somehow you can get the discount.

Exedy's base-line clutch has a lot of parts maid by Daiken, a US company. Any Nissan currently made/assembled in the US with a MT will likely have Daiken-made clutch internals. The Key-Value clutch is also made by Daiken, and is the same as the base-line Exedy kit. Any J-spec parts or "Made in Japan" Maximas will have a non-Daiken clutch, which I believe is made by Valeo.
