You have such self-control. I can't pass by the automotive section without buying an additive or spray or wipes for dash.

well, i wouldn't say self control...i mean, it would be a shame if somehow the catalytic converter bolts "broke" and a nasty hole formed in the y-pipe...i'd obviously need a new y-pipe and high flow cat to fix the problem...

Performance mods are kinda worthless if you live in the city and you have to stop at every other corner. My car is completly stock except for the stereo and DC corners.

If it does really save on gas I will look in to it.

I just got my 97 5 speed and have the exact same problem. My dad who has a 2002 max says that mine is quick enough. So I plan on getting it anyway in a couple of weeks and putting it on when he is not around since you guys say there isn't much sound difference. But before i get it im going to race a few cars at my school that say maximas are slow and i want to be completely stock so they dont have an excuse for getting there butt kicked.

lose low end torque never heard of that and no one has ever said anything about it. most of the low end tq problems come from installing the mevi..

its not #1 on my list of priorities. I gotta finish my stereo, new shocks/struts, fix squeaky breaks, new MAF, new plugs and wires, get rid of bald Jetzone tires and nasty American racing rims(came with car), leather interior upgrade, stillen kit, PAINT (i hate burgandy), then y pipe, exhause, intake, and so on....

I am still debating it. I 've done a ton of reading and everytime i think im ready to buy one I hear a bad comment, or another "bees in the can" issue, pros-cons and everything in between. So im gonna relax with it for now, and take care of it later.

A y-pipe is on the list, but my #1 priority is to upgrade the suspension - struts/shocks, springs, rear sway bar, and front strut tower brace. Oh, and a short-shifter. My attention will then shift to go-faster mods, with the first being a y-pipe, probably from Budget, but maybe Warpspeed.

Oh how I wish I could make decisions that way! You have a point. "I have a WARPSPEED y-pipe" vs. "I have a budget y-pipe."

On the other hand, Warpspeed's advertising seriously pisses me off.

But spend $350 on a Stillen y-pipe? No way.

Ultimately that could be why I don't have a y-pipe - I can't make up my friggin' MIND!
