neutral safety switch
I had to replace mine when I tried to take it out to change the o-ring. The switch is located on the bottom of the transmission facing the drivers side. Its held in by one screw. I tried prying it out and the cracked the plastic. I bought a new one at Advance Auto Parts for $30-40. Its very easy to do, just push it in, put in the one screw and plug in the wire at the top of the transmission near the starter.
Yes, it is. I got it at the dealer for 27 bucks.
Here is a thread I posted a while ago about this.

If you're referring to the neutral position switch, it's on the side of the shift tower.
