Help! I was trying to do a diagnostic...

Ok, not a diagnostic-but this "ECU fault code diagnosis". I did like it says and turned it clockwise then counterclockwise. Then, I looked at the light and it was off! So, it never did the blinking thing-it just went off?! Are you with me?

Ok, I just went out and tried to start it again-It will not start!! I called my friend who I bought it from and he said it has never done this to him. I got it started one time but just for a couple of seconds then it shut off!

this happens to me when i do the diagnostic check also.. i start the car, it drives hard for a few seconds, then say at like a stop light or something, the car will shut off.. but once i get it started again.. i drive at a good speed for a while and it doesnt do it again. it only does it when i reset my ECU..

serious... I have actualy done something similar, and the problem was, I forgot to turn the ECU screw back to it's original position, go down agin and check, which way is the screw turned (couterclockwise or clockwise.)
