riding it hard

I drive a 5 speed (stick) 96 maxima se. It has 119 k on it, and everything works fine.
I drive it really hard and im wondering what kind of damage this could cause.

eg:
shift at redline about 1/3 of time
floor it about 1/2 of time from stoplights
release clutch without rpm matching when flooring it about 1/2 the time
take turns at speeds fast enough to squeal tires about 1/8 of time

what is my prognosis? Is my max bound for trash heap any time soon? what will this break?

will this cause the dreaded differential bearings problem or is that a factory defect?

You can beat on it but just take care of it! 119,000 is still a young buck as far as VQ's go!

lol . . . driving hard naturally will wear down on parts more than driving normally.

really you just burning a lot of gas, not double clutching will wear on your synchros, and your clutch some.

Out of curiosity why are you beating this car so hard? at this rate, dont be surprised if it starts to break down? you drive like that daily for real?

if it breakes down and you sell parts, post up in the calssified forums, I could use some parts for my max.

im a teenager and driving like **** with friends in the car is unbelieveable fun.
I beat on it purely for the fun of it (adrenaline freak)
im worried about breaking it becuase I have no money for repairs or replace. I think ill take the advice on double clutching becuase it sounds like a good idea...gonna take some getting used to though.

and yes, I seriously beat the **** outta it. Every morning I make a redline sprint to 60 mph in 2nd gear, and a second one from 0-40 when I get to school.

is this likely to break something? (burning a lot of gas seems like a worthy price to pay for fun)

I know those cost money, but it would be much less money than atleast $800+ for a new tranny, or $200+ for a new clutch.

If you have no money for repairs then you may want to back off the vigorous driving cause you'll cause somthing to go wrong, then you'll have to keep driving it like that cause you dont have money, then it gets worse, and you just go down hill. You can still drive hard but be smart about it.

+ let the car war up before you make those redline field trips.
+ Put some synthectic oil in there. Save you on wear on the car.
+ Synthectic Tranny fluid. so your tranny will live longer.

know you dont have any money but sputting money into that, will help you driving like that for longer.

but eventully you'll have to pay for something, either brake pads, tires, clutch, something.

And watch out for speeding tickets, once they catch you the tickets now a days are atleast $80+

just some change

he he he... I got Meijer brand (food store) oil in it right now...
Synth. tranny fluid? In a manual tranny? wha?
tickets: I don't speed, I just accelerate really hard
wait for car to warm up: it usually gets a couple mins

FOOD STORE OIL??? thats all I will say on that.

sythetic oil in the tranny makes shifts quicker and easier, plus a lot less wear on the tranny giving it more life.

kool, you dont speed that good, dont you just love how hard the Max can pull.

hey! I don't speed and I only accelerate hard for fun. How does accelerating hard make insurance costs high? It doesn't.
insurance costs are raised when people don't brake too late, speed, and do stupid stuff like run red lights.
besides scaring the local neighborhood I see no harm in accelerating hard.

I love acceleration cuz I get to feel the car pull. I only speed on roads built for speeding (an arrow striaght road about 10 miles out of town in the middle of nowhere covered in burnout marks). The rest of the time I go 5 over like everyone else.

food store oil: it has the SAE cert. on the back so it can't be that bad

insurance highets are cause by people like you who accelerate without looking, who drive like idots like you described above. that is what raises insurance cause the people who drive like you are more likey to get in an accident. we all do stupid things sometimes but -shift at redline about 1/3 of time
-floor it about 1/2 of time from stoplights
sounds like you do alot of stupid

I abuse the car, but I don't do anything dangerous.
shifting at redline-makes a lot of noise, not dangerous unless you're speeding
flooring it from stoplights-not dangerous if they're green

I never said I accelerate without looking, I guess thats just an assumption by the "teenage punk" attitude teenagers trigger in some people.

i'm not bashing, i just do not like to see people doing retarted things. there is no need to floor it from every light. stuff is going to happen one day, and i would rather not have a org member hurt. i eman i am not rtying to be a girl or anything but i do not see any sense on harming your car, other people, or yourself in doing non-nessicary things.

i mean i do cut loose sometimes, but i do ti smarter. i am not trying to bash man and i am not disrespecting just please watch out what yuou do. i am a teen myself, i am 18, and i just do nto see the point. i answered his question alittle above on my first post.

i love pushing my maxipad..BUT...only times that it is really necessary is around a fartcan, or if you're late for class/work. Everything will catch up to you man, trust me. You drive like an *** all the time, you're going to have that one huge accident that will ultimately calm you down and make you a little scared to drive past the limit. Just be careful man.

lol.
I don't really do dangerous stuff, I only speed on this dragstrip road in the middle of nowhere (one poor farmer does live on that road).

The rest of the time we drive around being retarded. passing everyone going 5 under the limit...going to mc.donalds and confusing the **** outta the mexicans...passing every civic with more than 1 vtec sticker or with an exhaust bigger than 2 inches...following the bus home and getting mooned ...following my friend home behind his convertible and watching him climb onto the hood of his car
ya know, the usual stuff

maybe flooring it at every light is a little excessive, but it sure is a lot of fun.

Don't bother with double clutching IMO.

What gas mileage do you get? It must be mid teens.

are you for real? what ever happened to interesting posts about performance mods? I encourage you to drive it hard all of the time; redline; shift without the clutch its faster; don't use oil because its dead weight; and remove as much exterior panels, bumper, lights to make it lighter and thus FASTER for you and your highschool friends. O' and try to race as much as you can! anything! minivans, station wagons, people on skateboards so that you can feel cool.

You are a tool.

My favorites are:
1. Terrorizing the elderly.
2. Getting as many middle fingers as possible on the way to work everday.
