I'm 18 and I pay $950 every six months for full coverage, $250 deductible. You don't have to pay as much as your parents said if you just get liability or something, then it's way cheap.

Mine is about $900 every six months for liability. And thats with a $500 deductible, good student discount, etc...

The higher your deductible, the cheaper your insurance will be.

Well full coverag ranges from around 130-150 on 4th gens last time I checked thats monthly for a young male under 25.

Now I pay little under 600 every 60 months so roughly around 1100-1200 a year for liablity.

It depends on your age, your area, your parents records, and of course the car.

They should get full coverage because the odds are you will have fender benders and you might wreck that car. You would have to be a VERY mature son to drive a car like that if you were my son. I remember when I was 16 and driving fast and racing..

Man that was dumb.

Good luck

They'll see it...and you're going to lose the insurance coverage. friend of mine had the same exact record as you, and they booted him off. hopefully that wont happen dood.

I'm 17 and only have to pay $400 every 6 months for full coverage with a $500 deductible. The only reason I’m paying that little is because there is a little loophole I found out about insurance coverage. I don't have my name on the insurance policy and never have but I'm still covered. This only works if your parents name is on the title and they get insurance for the car under their name. Anyone who has a license and is given permission by your parents to drive the car is covered. I have talked to a couple of Insurance agents (not our own) that say I'm covered. Also the 5 times I have been pulled over (only 1 ticket) and given the insurance card to the officer they said it was valid. This will only work until I get into an accident then the insurance company will find out about me and force my parents to put my name on the policy.

$1200 for 6 months... that's with full liability, highest comp and collision limits, and $100 deductible.

You guys think you have it bad try $350/month with a $1000 deductible. My insurance is so high it is keeping me from getting a new car. On about every car I have gotten quotes on my insurance is more than the car payment. Heh on a 2004 G35c they wanted 730/month and that was the best estimate they were going to have to get an actual vin and such but said it wouldn't be cheaper.

Im in New York City, the Bronx.. im 24. i pay about 285 a month with full coverage, and 500 deductible.and that was the lowest price i was quoted after calling about 15 places... i have a prettyy clean record.. i originally started with a NY license then 2 months later i moved to Florida and have that Florida license for like 5 years.... now ive been back to NY for a year now and this is what im paying.....by the way, higher deductible doesnt automatically mean a lower payment. insurance agents told me if i change for 500 to 1000, it only takes off 6 bucks a month.....wow.. i was also told if i keep my comprehensive and liability and drop my collison, i'll save 60 a month... they also told me that my insurance is so high because i live in a part of New York that has the most accidents and stolen cars.

i would ONLY do this if i was your age.. i dont think its a loophole, everyone should know this... and yes this will only work unitl u get into an accident. cause the same exact thing happened to me 3 years ago. now my parents insurance went up because i wasnt under the insurance.. "Anyone who has a license and is given permission by your parents to drive the car is covered" - thats wrong.. your name has to be somewhere on the policy.... if not a policy holder, then a driver
