I just changed my stock 15" rims/tires to Borbet Type E 16x7.5 with 225/55 Potenza R730 tires. I immediately noticed that the tires/rims now come all the way out to the edge of the mud flaps, flushed with outside edge of the wheel well in the rear. Looking from the front wheels they noticeably stick out alot more to the sides as the bumper nose is curving in. Kinda weird looking relative to the car's body as I'm used to the tucked in stock rims/tires. Any of you guys with this rims width notice it too, normal right? Yeah the offsets are 35mm which I think should be correct?

i don't know about you, but my wheels haven't even gotten to the edge of the mud flaps yet and there 225/50. Anyway, you should have to worry your just fine with your setup.

hmm...what's the width of your rims cause the tire's contact patch size/width changes with respect to this. May be I'm just so used to the look of my old tires/rims setup, but I surely remember the tire's edge does extend all the way out to the mud guard's edge.

pheeeww...for a moment I thought the extra dough I put in to buy my rim over the stock SE for extra width is all a myth. Hey Andy, I can already hear the tunes from one of your favorite mixes and they get louder as April 28th is approaching

hey gtr_rider, what's that spark plugs cover you got under the hood? Looks like it came from some infiniti? Did it bolt straight on or you had to fabricate something?
