I am installing new struts. Whats the name of the part that goes on top of the springs? It round the round one. I am having someone compress the springs for me and they need that piece so i can just replace the existing struts with no problem. Just take out the old assemble and insert the new one. Where can I find it?

 

There are three pieces at the top of the strut assembly.

1. Strut mount - actual part that secures to both the strut and the car
2. Strut boot - rubber boot - keeps the strut clean
3. Strut bearing - allows the strut to turn when the wheels are turned

I don't think I missed any - but I can't tell which part you mean.. but its probably one of those
