99s with Cattman Headers

is it worth buying since there is no upgradable ecu chip for 99's? How many people have it? Theres not to many power mods for 99's =(.

I'm confused. Why would you need an ECU to go with headers?

i thought you dont get the full potential of the headers if you dont combine it with a ecu... or something like that

The ECU has nothing to do with the headers

Nothing at all. Mevi and ECU go together...not ECU and headers. You will get all gains promised. But a Y is a cheaper way to go and only has about 5 wheel hp less than headers.

Depends if you are cali spec or fed spec? If you have a cali-spec 1999, What are you going to do with the precat and the check engine light?

www.02simulator.com takes care of the check engine lights, I been runing that setup on my Max for quite some time. I would reather get the MEVI in your case vs the headers. Another thing is where did you come up with 5WHP more for headers vs y-pipe ? I never seen anyone dyno Cattman headers on a 4th gen, even Brian said in the last header thread in the 5th gen section of the .org, that he will refund anyone 50 dollars if a car dynos before and after the headers to show a HP gain.
