Same as the fronts - except the caliper piston is screwed back into the caliper not compressed - this is a VERY important difference. Other than that its the same. Here is a link with details on the front:

Not easier or harder - just different. Only that step is different... i.e. to make room for the new pads you will have to retract the piston into the caliper. On the front the piston is just pushed back into the caliper, on the rears, the piston has to be screwed back into the piston - do NOT push/force it back in.

The rear pistons require a special little tool you can pick up at Autozone. It looks like a little square cube that fits over the center of the caliper and lets you turn it forward or back as needed. Doesn't cost much.
Some people use some pliers to try turning the caliper but if it hasn't been moved in a long time, it's gonna be really hard to turn.
