Sprint Springs and 18" rims

Anyone with this setup? please post pics and your thoughts on the setup.

If anyone has gone from Ground Controls to Sprints or visa versan, please post your thoughts on the swap and if you liked it or not.

Thanks

that was my setup. I had ground controls with koni yellows but i didn't like it for some reason; then I switched to sprints with the koni's. I wished though that I waited cause now I would have gotten the tein setup. but my ride is good enough now.

I was about to post the exact same thing. The photoshop car looks absolutely retarded, but the real pic looks great.

Has anyone here cut any coils from their sprints? There are a lot of "dead" coils on them and I am thinking of cutting one coil off in the front and rear when I switch to that setup.

Question guys.

I just purchased some sprint springs. I tried to install them Saturday but failed because I don't have the stock strut mounts.

I instead have stillen camber plates.

I thought for a 2 inch drop a camber correction kit was suggested.

What should I do guys? Do I need to purchase stock top strut mounts or is there some trick?

P.S. I am coming from Ground controls.

Actually mine is 5 spd and yes I do have a 45lbs sub box in my trunk. When I first had the sprints they were a bit uneven, but since people ride on my car all the time they became pretty even.
As far as handling goes they did handle pretty good. They handle better than my current setup which is Tein-H tech and tokico illuminas all around. I had
KYB AGX and Sprints before, and I only switched them because I wanted to try something different, not because I didn't like ride. I bet that sprints and illuminas would the ultimate drop as far as springs go.
Sprints are even lower than S-techs

Bottoming out on sprints sucks... I bottom all out the time, and my AGX's are on 4/8... Also after 2+ years of ownership, the front springs seem to have lost tension..

I actually asked optimus and he IS a 5spd. My bad, ...

3/4 inch gap? thats crazzzy!

lol, i guess cutting a coil and getting the rear strut mounts (the one that has a GD for, the extended ones...whatever) wouldnt be such a bad idea.

Anyone have any doubts? etc?

As for bottoming out, i dont c how that is possible with sprints, i have GCs with VERY little suspension travel since im actualy dropped a lil lower that sprints (2.2 inches or more..) and i bottom out every ONCE in a while. Only in extreme conditions where i get scared lol.. With sprints the spring rate is about hight 300s to mid 400s (i cant member exact numbers, but the GCs are rated at like 510 pounds in the front and like 480 in the back....

I duno, i guess you live in some F'd up roads! :Grinno:

any responses to my rant? ;o
