What can i use to cut springs?

If you think you must cut springs, use a cutting wheel (saw). Dont use a torch under any circumstances. The excess heat will ruin the temper of the springs.

cutting wheel saw? my dad has something like that that he uses to cut wood, i think its called a milder saw, not sure. can i use that? will the blade be able to cut it?

No you have to use a blade that is made to cut heavy steel

cutting springs is not a good idea... when you buy a smaller spring its tighter so if you cut it, youll probably bottom out... i saw a guy in a maxima with rims and it was dropped and i could tell he cut the springs because the back kept bouncing and when he would hit these bumps his back wheels would kick up like an inch off the ground i couldnt believe it lol

my plan..
i know cutting springs are bad but here is my plan. i plan on using intrax for my car. im going to install the rears like normal and cut one coil off the front pair. the rears tend to sag with intrax and cutting one coil off the front have cured this problem, so i heard.
