Car Stalling!! Please Help!

This morning I started my car and the moment I engaged the reverse gear the car stalled on me. DId this a couple of times and then when I finally gor it out of my driveway and put it on drive it stalled again. I am having no problem starting it back up but the moment I put it on drive or reverse it jerks a little and stalls. I recently did an oil change and cleaned the throttle body. Is there any way I could have messed up during the oil change or the throttle body cleaning to cause this.

Please help.

Thanks in advance!

The oil level is fine. Any suggestions as to what could be the cause? Could I have messed up something while cleaning the throttle body?
Thanks,
S

Is your car an automatic? Sounds like your idle is dropping to low in reverse and in the forward gears and stalling the car out. If you cleaned the TB and the problem appeared you messed up something with the throttle body I would go back and check your work.

Just got the ECU Codes from my car:
0102- Mass Air Flow Sensor
0304- Knock Sensor
1103- Improper Shifting to First Gear (A/T)

How do I go about fixing this issue? I am assuming that the 1103 code came in as a result of the other 2 codes. I am hoping there is no problems with the transmission. DO I need to replace the MAF Sensor and the Knock sensor? How difficult is it and how much can I expect to pay for the parts?

Thanks,
S

Check the MAF sensor.
Go over your work again. Take the intake out, clean the TB again and put it back together very carefully. Make sure all your connections are tight, especially the MAF sensor plug.

Check the MAF make sure its plugged in. If it is plugged in and seems ok I would try to find another 4th gen in your area, swap the MAF out and see if it fixes the problem or not. The KS problem is not at issue and the tranny shifting might be caused by the MAF problem.

isnt the maf sensor right on top of the maf? its easy to replace it, held on to 4 tiny screws. Perhaps you damaged it when u removed the entire maf to clean the throttle body, it very delicate.

I figured out where I messed up. When I was taking the MAFS off to clean the throttle body, I unknowingly opened the 4 nuts that hold the MAFS and when I put it back together I did not tighten it enough. So there was a air leak which was causing the car to stall. When I tightened the nuts and started the car and put in drive the car did not stall. I think I have fixed the problem for now. Only thing is that in the excitement I tightened the lower right nut too much and it broke. I don't know how I will replace that. Any suggestions!
Thanks,
S
