Air Intake Question

Air Intake Question

Alright, I installed a hybrid intake today and im just wondering what to do with the extra sensor that is connected by the MAF sensor. It was hooked up to the top part of the stock airbox but im not sure what to do with it now. i kno im a noob, but and advice is appreciated thanks

Ok thats what i thought, just wanted to make sure from the big dogs.. another thing it makes a high pitched whitsle sound that is normal right?

my jwt pop doesn't but it does make a sort of whooshing sound.

dennisadhs I got a short ram inatake and it made that sort of sound and it is fine. Rember to put sensor back together with a zip tie. I had mine out and the check engine light came on for like 3 months but then i put it back on and the light went away. Sounds real nice when u hit the gas. Have fun..

i drilled a hole in the intake tube and put the sensor in there. i figured it came out of the oem intake tract, might as well put it back in the aftermarket intake tract. here's pics:

what kind of intake do you got? my midpipe (from my bomz) had a hole already for that sensor...

It looks like OneToughMax has an ebay intake like I do.

do 98's have that sensor??? I've never seen it in my engine bay...

i think he exagurated a bit...
i got the same intake & it was $30 plus $18 shipping or something like that....

yes, it's possible that I embellished a bit here's a link to one for $16.99 + $24.00 shipping. $41.00 is not bad for a shorty ram intake. then after a while you can upgrade the filter to a k&n cone filter instead of the garbage that comes on the ebay intake...
