I tried to take the stock air box out yesterday to put on a K&N cone filter. Well it worked alright sounded ok but I didnt like it so I put back on the stock air box, etc. Well in this process I did unplug the maf harness from the MAF. Now the car runs great and everything but throws the CEL code for MAF. I have tried to reset the ECU but the CEL does not go away.

What happened? Hope I did not kill the maf!! Is it bad if I drive with it on for a while?? I will probably go to the nissan dealership on Monday because I wanted to get a tranny flush anyway.

 

The cel light should go off, unless you forgot to plug back in the sensor or it isn't in all the way.
