Are people still buying Y-pipes?

Is there still a demand out there for me to make these parts. I already have a deal setup with a fabricator is AZ to make them for me, the fitment is perfect on them. They use full stainless mandrel bent piping, CNC cut flanges, full TIG welds. I would be able to offer them in the sub $300 price range.

Is there interest out there for this or should I just quit?

Also, for some reason there have been emails asking me to make a 4th gen intake as well. You guys really want that too???

Just chime in and let me know your thoughts.

Regards,
Bryan

the demand is still therebut I think most people are young, possibly college students and are looking for something cheap but good......budget offers that.

if you could beat the group deal price of $160 (shipped) then you would have most of the market. how much would your cost drop if it wasnt stainless steel as that is the price for the group deal.

in order to sell any you are gonna have to offer something that Budget, cattman, or warpseed does not. You can already get a full SS Y-pipe for less than $300 with good fitment already....so what is different about yours?

I would bet that a quality full SS y-pipe selling for $180 is making no profit at all. My point was not that Bryan needs to sell his product for dirt cheap, it was just that I don't see what alternatives can be offerd to what is out there now.

Yeah the Y-pipe market is pretty full as it is I'd say. Cattman, Budget, Warpspeed, Stillen, plus a couple small no-namers out there.

There is no way that I could sell a US made stainless Y-pipe for $160. The only way to sell a 304 stainless Y-pipe in the low $200 range is to make it in China or Taiwan. There is just no other way around it. Things cost a lot more in America, and the quality is there to support that price.

I really appreciate all of your guy's comments!

Berk air intake for 4th generation

Will be great if can youn make the air intake for 95-99 Maximas as per you won't have any competition on price and on quality. Frankencar are loosing all their customers due to cero customer service an extremelly delay on shipping that can be up to 2 months and of course they charge you cc 2 months before shipping it. I will be your first customer. You will do really good on them an there is not much difference on the midpipe than the other years; plus there are way more people upgrading/modding 95-99 because are becoming cheaper to own now. You won't regret.

We need more 4th generation guys to request this intake, so please post more replies guys.

Use a 3-ply flex to keep it ultra quiet and strong. Make a design that is 2 peice, one for cali spec and add a pipe to make it fed spec.

I'm considering it. One qestion, there are two different versions for the 4th gen maxima correct? There are two different types of air intake temp sensors on them correct? Or do you guys just zip tie the sensor in place?
That is my biggest concern.

Yes, there are two different versions of the 4th gen... Some people zip tie the air intake temp sensors somewhere in the engine bay, and others drill a hole in the intake and put the sensor in. I don't think this would be a huge problem if you wanted to make a quality intake for all 4th gen-ers. Just drill holes in different places in half of your stock...

I just bought a CAI from Cattman, and I'm really glad he put pre-drilled holes in there for me!
