IGNITION SWITCH...Replaced One?????

I believe the switch in my '98 has gone bad. Intermittent starting.
Just wondered if just the electrical portion can be replaced...Retaining the same key.

Yes. ^^^ Agreed with him.

I paid a dealer to do mine cause I was pressed for time one week and now in hind sight I would have done it myself.

I replaced mine, and all of my starting probs went away (Long periods of cranking when cold, not as long cranks when warm, but still long).

The strange part about it.....When the drivers door is open, (ie: the light around the ignition switch is on) the car starts fine. Close the door...problem every time...Door open...starts right up.

What was involved in changing the switch? Steering wheel have to come off?
Where did you get the switch from?
Part #? Price?
