Installation is not that hard. It's a bit painful on the hands because of all the pulling, clipping of old hog rings, and attaching new hog rings. It took me about 10 hours to do the cover install. I started with the back seat because it's easy and you gain an understading of the removal/installation. There's nothing really to mess up either. I recommend purchasing the $30 install kit which includes hog rings, hog ring pliers, and spray adhesive (for the door panels). The door panels are the hardest part. If you take your time you'll be fine.
Prior to the leather, I had the standard gray cloth. The leather instantly transforms the interior to a much higher class. The leather also adds some additional bolstering. The leatherseats leather is also far more grippy than the OEM leather. I've ridden in GLE Maximas and the leather is so smooth you can't stay planted at all. The leatherseats leather grain is grippy and far thicker than the OEM leather.
I've considered buyin a used base model G35 sedan or possibly a base model 05 Legacy GT with the cloth interior and simply swap in the leather because it's so easy, cheaper, and higher quality.

I'm so with DaveB on this one. This is a night and day modification to your interior. Doing the seats is pretty easy (hands get ripped up as DaveB notes). Doing the door panels SUCKS. My solution to the door panel issue was to buy some spline from HomeDepot (the spline used to hold screen in place on screened in enclosures) and put that into the channel around the insert to keep the insert tight, flat and in place. There may be other/better options out there, but I find the spline worked pretty well for me. They also make it in various widths.
FYI ... if you take the cloth off the door panel first, underneath the cloth is a semi-soft surface that you could also adhere the inserts to. I mention this because I had one of my cloth inserts come off by mistake, and I actually found it easier to work with without the cloth. HOWEVER, the cloth will hide some imperfections that become more difficult to deal with if the cloth is off.
