dr mod DO NOT DO THIS

hey do not do the dr mod. it will screw up your tranny, i know from expirience, luckily i might have found an 01 maxi in a 5 speed so might not as bad as i thought. but do not drop your resistor, bad things will happen.

i also say do not do this. your car may seem faster because of the quickened shifts but its not.i proved this to myself today at the track. with dr mod i was running anywhere from 15.3 to 15.5 and without 15.0 to 15.2. so no more dr mod for me. I wonder if the vb mod will hurt times also

I think the people who have had no problems with this mod far outweigh the ones who have had problems with it.

I have a spare tranny in the shop though.

What experience did you have with "dropping" your "resistor"? Why don't you tell the story before you go around saying things like this n00b. TONS of people on the org have no problems with the DR mod on a switch including me. I've personally had mine for over 10,000 miles with no problems. Did you just keep it unplugged, and run it all the time?

And the DR mod does make you faster in the 1/4 mi. But mostly if you're boosting or spraying.

I have used the dr mod on all three of my Maxima's which I have raced for 3 full seasons. Its installed on a WOT switch and it works great. I would not run without it.

Anyone who uses it at part throttle of leaves it unplugged just can't read.
