Timing chain noise?

Timing chain noise?
I've had my 95 maxima for 4.5 years now. On and off I've had noise from the timing chain...mainly when really cold and would usually go away shortly after start-up. Now it is pretty constant. (I'm assuming it's the timing chain...it sounds like ball bearings rolling around in that area and gets louder when the rpms rise. Previously when I've had the car looked at...it's never made the noise for the mechanic.)
Anyone else had this problem? I found something about excessive play in the chain from a problem tensioner and chainguide...sound right?

That is the Service Bulliten for the problem it details how to do the job. But from what ive heard its just more of an annoyance noise and too expensive to fix. In other words i would just live with it...its not gonna ruin your engine
