Ha, what a surprise. Another girl makes a thread and look at all the replies. How come when a guy asks no one ever helps him? Pathetic.

because since this board is mostly made of guys...guys don't help out other guys...but if its a girl...they help out more so they can try to get some a$$ (no offense ladies) but that is the truth.

now, the guys might laugh at me cause i might not know what im talking about, but what i think is this:
your exhaust really has some effect on your gas milage, that however shouldn't effect how your engine sounds, but it will cause some "knocking" sounds depending on where your muffler is 'leaking' at. About the pulling back, I dont know ... I would think though exhaust might have something to do with that, it might studder a little bit.

I am just trying to help, if I am wrong, I will get laughed at :P But, thats what I think it might be since you said your muffler sounds different and your having gas economy issues.

Hope that helps

If not ... I'm sorry
INDEED... very impressive!!i love girls that know what they talkin bout ezpecially when it comes to cars!!

1. My maxima has the following problem- the car will not accelerate and when it did it simply lost power and it stalled. It was like that, when I bought it the check engine light was on and we pulled codes... Knock sensor and coolant sensor. I bought used ones they changed them and the problem did not disappear. But the check engine light went out. It was the same, it will not accelerate. got to 40 mph and it bucked, and it felt like it lost power. My mechanic checked it several times he changed the fuel filter, cleaned the throttle body, changed the IAC sensor, replaced coolant temp sensor and finally he changed the MAF sensor. Then the car stopped stalling and it ran a lot better.
2. Now I have a sound in the engine area it shows up when I accelerate and especially when going uphill it sound like air coming out of a hose, but I checked and it has no leak. The car does not accelerate well it jerks once again... but not as bad as before. the tach needle sometimes bounces up and down (I don’t think this is normal) and when I start the car it sounds rough, before it was smooth, it was very quiet, now it’s a much louder sound. It also had a tune up. changed air filter, oil and oil filter, plugs, and wires but it made the problem worse
If someone understands this, I would appreciate your help.

So who the hell did the tune up??? I didn't know our Maximas had sparks plug wires. You might want to have someone check what type of sparks plugs they put in. I hope they put in NGK platinums in your Max.
