Question-

I was checking the error codes on my 98 maxima and when I was taking off the panel to expose the CPU there was a toggle switch on the panel. Anyone know what this is for?? Also, I was wondering how to check what is wrong when my airbag warning light is on/how do i turn it off? Is there a procedure similar to how your check if the check engine light is on?

Are you the original owner? If not, the previous owner must of installed it to control something.

The button may have been to reset an aftermarket alarm.
Although, they usaully install it under the steering column or on the kickpanel.

The airbag is not customer servicable, you may have to return to the dealer.
