What springs give the biggest drop?

I need to order new springs, shocks and struts for the car. Does the maxima have 4 struts or struts in front and shocks in back?

I basically want the springs that give the biggest drop. I cant afford coil overs. What springs give the best handling and the drop?

Also are there any recommendations for some sport shocks that are reasonably priced?

Lower does not = better handling.

You need suspension travel in order to ride and handle correctly. Eibach, H&R & Progress are some of the best springs you can put on your car for great handling and a clean drop. Any spring that loweres you more then 1-3/4 of an inch are mostly for show. They leave the Maxima with almost no suspension travel.

For real sports car handling and ride, save your money and get coilovers. You can drop the car 2+ inches and you'll get great handling.

A reasonably priced firm strut is the KYB GR2.

Just to clarify...

Sleeve type coilovers like WeaponR and Ground Control are not what Tom was talking about. You need a true adjustable setup with threaded strut bodies to get low drops with full travel. JIC, D2, etc...
