How much would it cost to get my 96 SE turbocharged? Do I really have to spend the $5000 for the turbo kits I see online, or can one be "put together" for around $1500-$2500 installed? Those civic guys have it easy becuae they can be turbocharged for damn near less than a Grand....Booooooo.

 

Yea because
1. They dont need a huge turbo.. which is probably the most expensive item
2. Its not a V6, only an I4 so making a special manifold isnt as expensive as ours
3. There are so many more of them out there its cheaper to mass produce a turbo kit

You'll be spending about $5000 total... just on the kit you could probably spend a good $3500 plus tuning and other parts that may not be included in the kit such as injectors and fuel pump, etc... and dont forget tuning.. its the most important part.
